How cool is this? It’s the *free* virtual launch of Kagan Goh’s book “Surviving Samsara: A Memoir of Breakdowns, Breakthroughs, and Mental Illness.” Online November 7th at 7:00 p.m. PST, you can register for the event here: https://www.crowdcast.io/e/samsara-launch/register
Many of you will remember Kagan Goh as the creator of The Day My Cat Saved My Life, a short film based on a true story of a severe psychotic episode and how a cat helped ground the situation. The Day My Cat Saved My Life is still available to watch in Shorts Block No. 2 in the virtual festival.
Kagan Goh is an award-winning filmmaker, spoken word poet, playwright, actor, and mental health advocate and activist. “Surviving Samsara” is “a frank and touching celebration of the resiliency of the human spirit in the face of mental illness, psychotic breakdowns, and stigma in society.”
Kagan touched upon writing this book in his Mental Filmness interview here: https://mentalfilmness2021.eventive.org/interviews2021
Let’s support Kagan if we can in his continued creative work advocating for mental health.

Dear Sharon, thank you so much for sharing this post.
