Glove is the true story of Richard Glover Jr., a 27-year-old veteran, who struggles with life after the Army.
Tony Holland was the multi-tasking director, writer, producer, and key cast.
Glove quietly depicts an important theme, which is how many veterans have trouble adjusting to daily life after the army, as well as how many take their own lives.
The short film opens with a quote by Richard Glover Jr.: “When you feel forgotten and forsaken, remember that is only a feeling. Your feelings do not dictate your reality.”
It ends with the statistic “In less than 80 minutes, the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs estimates another veteran will take their own life.”
Glove is currently screening in Shorts Block No. 3 in the virtual festival.
